Could Zak Dingle’s philandering be exposed around the Christmas dinner table? Viewers have seen him falling in love with lodger Joanie, but Zak’s daughter Belle is now poised to reveal all about his cheating ways. Will secrets come out over the meal table?

Lisa, of course, has no idea what’s been going on between Joanie and Zak. So how will the devoted Dingle matriarch react should she find out?

There’s more tension for Chas who, despite being chuffed to be reacquainted with ex-husband Gordon, finds that troubled son Aaron can’t cover his hatred for his father. Will Chas be forced to make a difficult decision?

Meanwhile, Cain and Moira are juggling their tempestuous marriage with trying to parent their extended family. With Charity soon to be released from prison, could Cain’s ex-lover prove to the nail in the coffin for this strained relationship?

Cantankerous Eric Pollard looks set to have a bah-humbug Christmas, being holed up in his house, where he’s feeling miserable. But when grumpy Eric is forced to follow his mischievous dog Cheryl out into the village, will he have a change of heart.

Once in the village, Pollard is faced with his past, present and what’s to come. Could this Christmas Carol-style awakening get him to change his ways?

Laurel is left heartbroken and stunned when Ashley reveals all about his dementia diagnosis, but will reunite in the face of his bleak prognosis. But there are further complications ahead when Arthur overhears a conversation…

Ross is once again on the wrong side of the law when he commits a warehouse raid while in the company of Aaron. But the end of 2015 will see past crimes return to haunt the Barton bad boy when he’s arrested for the shooting of Robert Sugden

Debbie decides to leave the village but – just as she’s about to set off – Ross spots her. Will he let her leave and take all the kids with her?

And, finally, watch out for a soap crossover as Coronation Street icon Liz Dawn comes out of retirement for a cameo role as Mrs Winterbottom, a decidedly demanding guest staying at the B&B. Can her Christmas spirit be found?
