Coronation Street: Anna is set on FIRE in explosion horror!

A plot twist saw Anna unexpectedly caught up in David's plan for revenge

Coronation Street favourite Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) has been left badly burned and unconscious following a shock explosion at the climax of ITV’s super soap week.

A tense double bill saw a deranged David’s revenge mission when he crashed into some parked cars outside the medical centre, trapping daughter Lily and Gary in the wreckage.

Frantic efforts to David’s mangled, petrol-laden car resulted in Gary and Lily both being saved, but more drama was to come when Tyrone spotted smoke pouring from the vehicle.

A frantic Ty ordered everyone to run, just as David’s car exploded in a fireball. Anna – who had been leading the attempts to free her son Gary – then found herself caught up in a second blast that ignited her petrol-soaked clothes.

As Anna screamed in pain, Kevin and Gary were seen beating the flames with their hands, while David watched on, wracked with guilt.

Anna was then hurried to hospital, where Gary was later seen crying by her bedside, fearing that her mum wouldn’t be recovering from her injuries. So will Anna make it through? Find out when Coronation Street returns on Monday 24 October at 7.30pm on ITV.
