EastEnders: will Claudette kill Aunt Babe?

The pair increase hostilities in next week's episodes of the BBC1 soap

Is scheming Babe Smith about to put herself in grave danger by getting on the wrong side of deadly Claudette Hubbard in next week’s EastEnders?

Fans of the BBC1 soap have been crying out for Aunt Babe to get her comeuppance thanks to her vicious blackmailing of the Cokers. But with Claudette on Pam and Les’s side, it looks like Babe could have bitten off more than she can chew.

An upcoming episode will see Claudette go against Vincent’s orders to keep her head down when she gives Babe a firm warning to stay away from the Cokers. And Babe would be wise to listen – after all, Claudette was responsible for the death of her husband Henry and very nearly offed Gavin Sullivan.

The trouble is that, the very next day, a bloody-minded Babe tells Claudette that she expects the payments to continue. But by refusing to back off, has Aunt Babe only ended sealing her own fate?

EastEnders recently announced that both Les and Pam Coker would be exiting the Square later this year, but that there would be plenty of drama to come before their departures. So is the blackmailing plotline building to a fatal climax?
