Doctor Who fans are being given a second chance to catch an early glimpse of Peter Capaldi’s debut on the show, at a London premiere on Thursday 7 August.
The new Doctor will attend the evening screening at the BFI on London’s South Bank, following a lunchtime event at St David’s Hall in Cardiff.
Capaldi will take part in a panel discussion and Q&A session with to-be-confirmed members of the cast and production team.
Tickets to the 6.30pm BFI screening will cost £16 (£12 concessions) and will be balloted. But Whovians will have to hurry – the deadline is 8.30pm this Sunday, 20 July. Details of how to apply are available on the BFI website.
All applicants will be told whether they’ve been successful by Thursday 24 July.
Deep Breath, the feature-length first episode of the eighth series, will air on BBC1 on Saturday 23 August.
The London screening is part of the BFI’s new science fiction series, Sci-Fi: Days of Fear and Wonder, which was launched today.
