Downton Abbey cast say their goodbyes at final ever wrap party

Michelle Dockery, Lily James, Allen Leech and co celebrated the end of an era at a party for all the cast and crew this weekend

Downton Abbey is officially done and dusted. We might not get to see the final ever episode until Christmas Day, but for the cast and crew it’s all over. Filming has wrapped, the sets have been dismantled and the period costumes packed away.

And with press interviews completed last week at the season six launch, it was time for the cast to let their hair down.

Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern said their goodbyes to crew and fellow cast members at a plush party at The Ivy in central London over the weekend.

Allen Leech and Lily James – who are both absent from the drama’s returning episode, their respective characters having decamped to America – were also in attendance, as was newcomer Patricia Hodge, who is set to star in the Christmas special.

Phyllis Logan could also be seen cuddling up to on-screen love interest Jim Carter while Sophie McShera and Lesley Nicol, aka Daisy and Mrs Patmore, spent the evening by each others’ side.
