Call the Midwife stars to spill the beans on series five at the Radio Times Festival

Emerald Fennell and Jenny Agutter will be joined by producer Pippa Harris and writer Heidi Thomas at the inaugural festival this September

If you can’t wait to find out what drama is in store when Trixie, Chummy and co return to our telly screens later this year, you are in luck.

The stars of hit BBC1 period drama Call the Midwife, along with producer Pippa Harris and writer Heidi Thomas, will be at this year’s inaugural Radio Times festival spilling the beans on series five.

The drama, which also counts Helen George, Miranda Hart and Charlotte Ritchie among its cast, will be back with new episodes following the midwives and nuns of Nonnatus House in East London this Christmas. The series will be stepping further into the Swinging Sixties – and is sure to deliver another round of heartbreak, tears and vintage charm.

Fans will have the chance to find out more about that – and hear about all the fun the cast have been having on set – at the festival this summer.

The Call the Midwife crew will be taking to the stage on Saturday 26th September at 6:30pm. Tickets are available here.
