Bunting, scones and 90s girl bands: the cast of Call the Midwife have the best time on set

We are feeling pretty jealous of the Nonnatus House gang's ice cream vans and incredible costumes

We’ve long suspected that we’d enjoy hanging out on the set of Call the Midwife – and not just because we look pretty fetching in a red vintage cardigans.

While the drama itself is getting darker and tackling tough social issues, it’s obviously not dampening the actors’ spirits on set. In fact, the gang – who are currently filming the period drama’s fifth season – are clearly having a lot of fun…

They are always taking selfies 

Or accidentally dressing up as 90s girl bands

They get special bunting on their birthdays

And eat loads of scones, presumably with jam and clotted cream

They even get icecream trucks to visit them on set

And of course they pose perfectly in front of them

When they’re not indulging in sweet snacks, they have loads of weird and wonderful props to play with 

Plus they get to spend almost every day here
