It’s Dan Stevens but not like you’ve EVER seen him before. The British actor, who swapped Downton Abbey’s aristocratic dinner parties for the bright lights of Hollywood, has been amassing an eclectic mix of acting roles of late (from drugs barons to Guardian journalists) in a bid to prove there’s so much more to him than floppy haired Matthew Crawley. We certainly didn’t think he’d go this far.
Appearing in a new episode of web series High Maintenance, Stevens looks a million miles away from the etiquette and decorum of the Crawley estate. For starters, he plays a stay at home dad with writer’s block and a penchant for pot. But as his character searches for creative inspiration, he finds his wife’s wardrobe. And the results? Well, let’s just say he’s more Lady Mary than Matthew Crawley nowadays…
Online series High Maintenance is written by Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld with each episode focusing on different pot-smoking characters who share a dealer (Sinclair) in common. Watch “Rachel” starring Dan Stevens here
