Poldark fans left distraught after sad and shocking series finale
After Putrid Throat, the death of baby Julia and an untimely arrest, fans of Ross Poldark were more than a little upset, as the first series of the BBC1 period drama came to an end last night
Last night’s Poldark series finale ended on a rather depressing note.
The final part in BBC1’s hit eight-episode run saw Elizabeth, Demelza and baby Julia come down with the dreaded Putrid Throat. The former recovered, but Poldark’s little girl died from the deadly illness. Yet the unhappiness didn’t end there, with Ross being arrested for theft and murder as the episode came to a close.
It was enough to have Poldark’s loyal fans in tears…
