Sandra Bullock poised to play Tupperware party planner in new film

The Oscar-winning actress is set to play real-life Tupperware sales exec Brownie Wise in a new period drama from the director of The Help

It looks like Sandra Bullock is poised to throw a Tupperware party.

In a new film, that is. Not in her living room. We can’t shed any light on what the Oscar-winning actress gets up to in her living room…

Bullock, whose film credits include Gravity, The Heat and The Blind Side, is set to star as real-life sales executive Brownie Wise who sparked the rise of the Tupperware container when she came up with the idea of hosting Tupperware parties during the 1950s, according to The Hollywood Reporter

Wise went on to become the first woman on the cover of Business Week, but was eventually pushed out of the company by the inventor of Tupperware, Earl Silas Tupper.

The Help director Tate Taylor and producers David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Tom Shelley are attached to the project, which is based on the non-fiction book Tupperware Unsealed by Bob Kealing.

49-year-old Bullock, who played Dr Ryan Stone in Oscar-winning space thriller Gravity, is currently voicing animated film The Minions.
