24: Live Another Day to premiere in UK at same time as US

Sky1 viewers can see the opening episode at 1am in the early hours of Tuesday 6 May. Jack Bauer doesn't need sleep, why should you?

Jack Bauer’s return in 24: Live Another Day will be simulcast in the UK and the US. The two-hour premiere will air on Sky1 at 1am on Tuesday 6 May (or late Monday night, if your prefer), the same time as the show airs on the east coast of America.

But if that’s pushing it for a school night, don’t worry, Sky1 will also show the episode at a more civilised time, 9pm, on Wednesday – which will be the drama’s normal slot for the remainder of the series.

24: Live Another Day is set and shot in London and follows anti-terrorism agent Bauer’s (Kiefer Sutherland) attempts to stop a drone attack on the visiting president of the United States.

This isn’t the first time Sky has decided to simulcast a UK and US premiere. Just last night (or early this morning), die-hard Game of Thrones fans could watch the series four opener at 2am on Sky Atlantic, which is why some of your co-workers might be a little droopy-eyed this morning…
