It’s official. The Call the Midwife gang will be cycling through the cobbled streets of Poplar and onto our TV screens this Christmas Day.
Jenny, Trixie and co will be back with a 75-minute long festive episode, which will air on 25 December at 6:15pm on BBC1.
It’s on a little earlier than last year, but that doesn’t mean the special will be any less dramatic. Trixie’s hair has gone all 1960s in the first image from the special. And we know that the girl’s festive celebrations aren’t going to go to plan. Helen George and Jessica Raine, who play Trixie and Jenny, told us the drama this year revolves around an unexploded WW2 bomb.
Will this year’s special be as much of a tearjerker as last year? Or will it be going off with a bang instead? You’ll have to tune in and find out…
