New ITV spy thriller series Betrayal stars Shaun Evans as John, an MI5 agent who finds himself under investigation at work, while also struggling to keep his marriage together at home.

Evans is joined in the new series by Romola Garai as John's wife Claire, while Zahra Ahmadi plays Mehreen, an intelligence operative recruited to take over John's duties while he is under internal investigation.

However, John struggles to let go of his job, as he becomes convinced, contrary to the beliefs of everyone else in the organisation, that an attack on the UK is imminent, led by a hardline faction of the Iranian regime.
