Star Wars Episode VII casts second Game of Thrones star

Miltos Yerolemou, AKA Game of Thrones' sword teacher Syrio Forel will join Gwendoline Christie in Star Wars Episode VII

Miltos Yerolemou, AKA Game of Thrones’ sword teacher Syrio Forel, has joined the impressive cast of Star Wars Episode VII.

Yerolemou is known to fans of Game of Thrones as being Arya Stark’s charismatic ‘dancing instructor’ – a code name for teaching her sword fighting – whose fate both in the HBO TV show and George RR Martin’s fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire is uncertain.

According to BBC News, his role in JJ Abrams’ film is said to be minor. Given the actor’s remarkable skill in sword-fighting choreography, though, it could be speculated that the part will involve a lightsaber. Speculation that, as you’ll see below, has not gone beyond certain fans’ notice…

Yerolemou is the second member of the Game of Thrones cast to join Star Wars. In June it was announced that Gwendoline Christi, who plays Brienne of Tarth, would also have a role in the next instalment of the sci-fi saga.

Both Christie and Yerolemou will join a cast that includes original trilogy stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher and newcomers such as British actors Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.

Star Wars Episode VII is set for release at the end of 2015.
