A new viral website has revealed the first picture of Peter Dinklage’s role in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
The actor, best known for his role as Tyrion in Game Of Thrones, will play Bolivar Trask in the sequel to 2011’s X-Men: First Class: which will reunite the younger incarnations of the mutants from that film with the actors of 2000’s X-Men series.
Dinklage’s character, Trask, is depicted in the comics as the head of Trask industries: the company responsible for creating robots, called Sentinels, which hunt down mutants. In the Days Of Future Past comic, the sentinels have turned the world into a Holocaust-esque dystopia: a fate that one mutant tries to travel back in time to avert.
The image of Trask, complete with ‘70s hair and glasses, is to be found on a viral website for Trask Industries, which is full of nifty details and a creepy, ominous corporate video (below) which lays out the Sentinel’s purpose of keeping ordinary humans safe from mutants.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past is due in cinemas on May 22, 2014.
