JJ Abrams says next Star Trek film will see return of Chris Hemsworth as Kirk’s father

And father and son might be reunited...

JJ Abrams, the director of 2009’s Star Trek and 2013’s Star Trek into Darkness, says that Chris Hemsworth, who made a cameo in his pre-Thor days as Captain Kirk’s doomed father, will return in the next Star Trek film.

Yep, Star Trek Beyond isn’t even in cinemas yet but there’s already news about a possible fourth movie…

And in more sci-fi space news, Access Hollywood film critic Scott Mantz also revealed that the film will in some way reunite the older Kirk with his son, played by Chris Pine.

Well, there really is a whole new galaxy of possibility out there.
