Our Score
Based on the popular video game of the same name, this brash, relentless and workmanlike CG spin-off sees catlike super-mechanic Ratchet and robot buddy Clank joining the heroic Galactic Rangers to tackle planet-destroying baddy Drek and his army of warbots. Or something like that. Story and style details will probably be more comprehensible to regular game players. For those not familiar with push-button pastimes, at least the plot references everything from Stars Wars to Guardians of the Galaxy, though with neither the charm nor quality of those influences. Snappy dialogue and fast pacing keep things lively, but essentially, this is a video game you can't play, and a film that all but rabid Ratchet & Clank fans will find tough to watch.

Summary

When they stumble on a powerful weapon capable of destroying entire planets, they join forces with a mismatched band of heroes to save the galaxy. Animated sci-fi adventure based on the video game, with the voices of James Arnold Taylor, David Kaye, Paul Giamatti and Sylvester Stallone.
