There’s less than a month to go until The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is released on Blu-ray and DVD in Britain, and we’ve been given this nifty infographic by the film’s makers to herald its arrival on disc.
As well as detailing the physical characteristics of Hobbits, Dwarves and Elves, the graphic also contains some fascinating nuggets of information. Did you know, for instance, that Dwarves live for an average of 250 years? Us neither.
So if you missed the film when it was in cinemas or fancy brushing up on your knowledge of Middle-earth’s inhabitants, have a look at the graphic below:

Directed by Peter Jackson and starring Sherlock’s Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey broke box office records when it was released in December 2012.
The second part of Jackson’s Hobbit Trilogy, The Desolation of Smaug, will be released in December.
