What games have been played so far?

This tournament has been up there with the most unpredictable in modern history as the entire 'Group of Death' was dumped out of the tournament before the quarter-finals.

World champions France fell in a penalty shootout to neutral neighbours Switzerland after a dramatic 3-3 draw, while reigning European champions Portugal were bested by Belgium, and Germany were put to the sword by England.

Italy have looked to be among the most organised teams, but even they struggled to overcome Austria on the first day of the knockout rounds.

The Round of 16 was a sight to behold, with major shocks, floods of goals and an abundance of last-minute winners and equalisers to flip games on their head.

The games wrapped up with arguably the most dramatic goal of them all as Ukraine netted in the 121st minute – stoppage time at the end of extra time – to defeat Sweden before the game was dragged to a penalty shootout.

The blockbuster quarter-final stage saw England secure a crushing win against Ukraine, while Denmark beat Czech Republic to the semi-final by a fine margin.

Italy defeated Spain on penalties to reach the final before England needed extra time against Denmark to book their place at Wembley for Sunday's showpiece.
