David Tennant confirmed as mysterious Creator for ITV's new Genius Game
Tennant will host the new eight-part game show, which tests players' social IQ as well as their intellect.
After a day of guessing, ITV has officially confirmed that David Tennant will be hosting its upcoming game show Genius Game.
Fans correctly worked out that Tennant would be the show's host, known as 'The Creator', after a challenge was posted to ITV's page on Twitter, which has recently rebranded as X, tasking viewers with working out who it was.
The broadcaster provided a blurred image of them, along with a code to crack. Each number in the code corresponded to its letter in the alphabet, providing quizzers with the following letters - AADDEINNNTTV - which can be rearranged to make, you guessed it, David Tennant.
Genius Game is an adaptation of the South Korean show of the same name, which sees players with their own unique skills competing against each other in tests of analytical reasoning, attention to detail, memory and loyalty.
The players must form alliances and decide who to trust and who to betray in order to survive, with a cash prize of up to £50,000 up for grabs.

Tennant recently hosted the BAFTA Film Awards, having been seen last year reprising his role on Doctor Who. Meanwhile, he also has the third season of Good Omens coming up.
He made a surprise appearance during the final episode of The Masked Singer this year, too, having admitted that he "love[s]" the show.
