The actress, author, screenwriter, producer, and director (yes, she does a lot) has said she plans for Girls to end after its sixth series, so this could well fill that gap for fans of the show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Boardwalk Empire’s Lisa Joyce will play heroine Maxine. Dunham will direct the show, Girls writer-producer Murray Miller will write the script, and fellow Girls team members Jenni Konner and Ilene Landress will executive produce it.
