Headmaster Jonny Mitchell will be Educating Britain at the Radio Times Festival

Educating Yorkshire's Mr Mitchell will join Vic Goddard from Educating Essex and Chris Norman from upcoming Educating Cardiff to discuss teachers on TV at Hampton Court

Educating Yorkshire’s Mr Mitchell has a lesson or two to teach audiences at this year’s Radio Times Festival.

The headmaster of Thornhill Academy will take part in a special event called Educating Britain on Sunday 27th September to talk about why he allowed cameras inside his classrooms, as well as some of the challenges facing teachers and pupils today.

Joining him will be Vic Goddard, head of Educating Essex’s Passmore Academy, and Chris Norman, the new head of Willows High School, setting for the upcoming Educating Cardiff.

The series’ executive producer David Clews will also appear at the event to talk about how they captured this unique view into modern education.

Jonny Mitchell is just the latest TV personality to be added to the Radio Times Festival line-up, which also includes Sir David Attenborough, Peter Capaldi, newsreader Jon Snow, the cast of Call the Midwife and One Show presenter Alex Jones.
