The 49-year-old actor is playing the father of a missing boy opposite Mr Selfridge's Frances O'Connor in the new BBC drama

James Nesbitt looks distressed and distraught in first look images from new BBC drama The Missing. 


Four images from the series, which also stars Mr Selfridge’s Frances O’Connor, see the 49-year-old star running around a European city looking increasingly concerned.

Nesbitt is playing Tony in the new thriller, a father desperate to find his son who goes missing aged five while on holiday in France.

The following desperate search consumes the lives of Tony, his wife and the French detective in charge of the investigation, told over two time frames in two countries. 


The Missing will air on BBC1.
