Sex Box is going stateside

The unusual Channel 4 relationship show, which saw couples have sex in a box on TV, is being remade by WE tv in America

Channel 4’s Sex Box is crossing the Atlantic.

The unusual reality show, which sees real life couples go into a box and have sex on TV, is getting remade by American network WE tv.

If you don’t remember it, Sex Box followed a duo as they entered and soundproof box and had sex on a TV set before leaving the box and candidly discussing their issues and their relationship. Over here the show was fronted by Mariella Frostrup and a panel of experts including Dan Savage, Philip Hodson and sex expert Tracey Cox.

WE tv president Marc Juris said: “Sex Box is an intriguing and original concept from a top production partner and we’re very excited about its potential, which has already been clearly demonstrated overseas — where it’s a hit.”
