This year's award season is well underway, with the controversial Golden Globes kicking things off back in February – despite criticisms over its lack of diversity and voting transparency – and the Oscars wrapping things up later in March.

Before that, however, we have the BAFTA Film Awards 2022 to look forward to, with an in-person awards ceremony taking place on Sunday 13th March in London's Royal Albert Hall.

Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson will be in charge of hosting the prestigious event. The comedian recently opened up to Radio Times magazine about pre-show nerves.

“Your head is on the chopping block as the host, which is a bit scary," Wilson said. "I get very nervous. It’s a very hard time for comedians, because what can you say without being cancelled?”

AJ Odudu and Tom Allen will be reporting from the red carpet for BBC One's coverage of the event.

There will be plenty of star power in attendance too, with Dune, The Power of the Dog and Belfast leading the pack with 11, eight and six nominations respectively. Licorice Pizza, No Time to Die and West Side Story are not far behind, bagging five noms each.

Meanwhile, Lashana Lynch (No Time to Die), Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place) and Ariana DeBose (West Side Story) are among the names in the coveted Rising Star Award category.
