Review

A star rating of 4 out of 5.

Richard Curtis's cute comedic yarn stars Domhnall Gleeson as a young man who turns 21 and discovers that the men in his family can travel back in time. He uses this ability in the way that, perhaps, most guys would at that age - to get a girlfriend (Rachel McAdams). But, unusually, it isn't the boy-meets-girl story that gives this film its heart, but rather Gleeson's relationship with his dad (a typically bumbling Bill Nighy). A celebration of those little moments in life that we all too often take for granted, this ranks highly alongside other Curtis classics including Notting Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral.
