Ben Cohen became the eighth celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.
The 35-year-old rugby player, who up until this week had wowed the voting public with his strong arms and often topless routines, left the competition during Sunday’s results show.
Cohen found himself in the bottom two opposite Mark Benton after his Charleston to No Diggity by Minimatic failed to impress the judges.
When it came to decision time, Craig Revel Horwood voted for Ben and and his professional dancing partner Kristina Rihanoff, but Darcey, Bruno and head judge Len all decided to save Mark and Iveta.
“It’s been a great experience and Kristina has been great,” said Cohen. “When would I get to dress like this every day, wear all the lycra and maybe not a top! The support has been amazing and I’ve had a great time but now I can dance at my kid’s parties.
“Kristina has been great,” he continued. “I have thrown her around a little bit, I’ve thrown her into walls, dropped her a few times and she has been great – thanks ever so much for putting up with me!”
Sunday was Mark's third time in the dance off in as many weeks - and the 48-year-old actor, who this week performed a foxtrot to It's a Beautiful Day, was visibly surprised to have been saved by the judges again.
