Scrubs season 10 release schedule – when will episode 9 be released?
Make sure you don't miss a moment.
Scrubs fans are bracing themselves for an emotional finale, following a worrying twist in the penultimate episode of the revival.
The brand new episode, titled My Odds, brings original character Dr Cox (John C McGinley) back into the fray, but unfortunately, it isn't on positive terms.
Instead, JD's intimidating ex-boss becomes a patient at the Sacred Heart, who is diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called microscopic polyangiitis.
The condition is serious and incurable, but can be managed with careful medical attention, which JD (Zach Braff) will now be charged with delivering.
There's no word yet on whether the Scrubs revival will return for 'season 2' (aka season 11 overall), but McGinley told Deadline that Dr Cox will feature "a lot more" in future episodes, should they materialise.
"The hero needs consequences and a threat and jeopardy, and without Ken Jenkins [who played Dr Bob Kelso] and not enough the Janitor [as portrayed by Neil Flynn]... that jeopardy is Cox," he said.
"I think Cox will be more thickly woven into the tapestry of season 2," he concluded, before caveating that he was "completely speculating" about the possibilities ahead.
Suffice it to say, fans will be very interested to see what note Scrubs season 10 ends on, as that will give us our best clues yet as to what the writers have in mind.
