Name: Patrick Robinson
Famous for: Being Ash in Casualty
“When I was very young I would say my dancing skills were like a 7 or 8.5, not bad - I could try my hand at everything. Now you are looking at a 4 or 5, so if I get anything above a 6 I will be very chuffed.”
Bio: What qualifications do you need to play a beloved character in a long-running continuing drama on BBC1, I hear you ask? Well, probably none really, so Patrick may be overqualified with two seasons at the Royal Shakespeare company in Stratford-upon-Avon under his belt.
Patrick is the cousin of footballer Ian Wright and even had try-outs for Southampton Football Club – but he chose a life treading the boards rather than playing football, joining Casualty in 1990 for a six year stint.
Despite successes elsewhere in the acting world (including being in a film with Steven Seagal, and The Bill), Patrick was always going to be drawn back to Holby, rejoining as Ash in 2003.
Will he give a shot in the arm (boom, boom!) to the shiny floored entertainment show... we'll see...
