Mrs Brown's Boys has done the sitcom double, adding a National Television Award to its 2012 Bafta.
The BBC1 sitcom beat ITV's Benidorm, Absolutely Fabulous - which returned for a new series last year - and US comedy The Big Bang theory to the gong.
Star Brendan O'Carroll accepted the award from EastEnders acress June Brown, thanking BBC1 controllers "Jay Hunt for giving us the opportunity and Danny Cohen for having the courage to carry it through."
He also thanked the voting public, saying "All of you at home, you've no idea, but you've changed all of our lives, thank you so much."
