Samsung’s 2022 line-up of tablets is out now, consisting of the Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ and S8 Ultra – a trio of Android slates bundled with the S-pen stylus.
The S-series tablets are some of the best alternatives to Apple iPads, with fantastic high-resolution displays, powerful performance and premium build quality – so if you need a portable device for work or entertainment these will tick most boxes.
All three slates are available to buy now in the UK, ranging in price from £649 for the standard Wi-Fi model to more than £1200 for the top-spec version.

Galaxy Tab S8: What’s the 2022 line-up?
There are three models in Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab S8 series: the S8, S8+ and the S8 Ultra. They were all unveiled during the Galaxy Unpacked showcase on 9th February 2022, alongside the latest smartphones: S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra.

Now, back to the tablets. The main difference at a glance is display size. The S8 is an 11-inch model, and they get progressively bigger and more powerful as you progress up the series, with the Tab S8+ boasting a 12.4-inch display and the S8 Ultra a 14.6-inch display. Overall, the aesthetic is sleek and minimalistic.
The 14.6-inch AMOLED display of the Tab S8 Ultra is the largest in the series yet, and all three have a refresh rate of up to 120Hz – for smooth app scrolling. In terms of appearance, the S8 Ultra comes in a single colour – Graphite – but the other two have a wider variety of tones: adding two more options: Silver and Pink Gold.

Galaxy Tab S8 series: UK release date
The Galaxy Tab S8 tablets officially launched on 25th February in the US, Europe and Korea. Anyone who pre-ordered the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra via the Samsung website got a new Book Cover Keyboard for free, while anyone who pre-ordered the Tab S8+ or Tab S8 received a Book Cover Keyboard Slim at no cost.
Samsung is still offering free Galaxy Buds Pro (worth £179) with any purchases of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
