EastEnders airs huge revelation for Dr Anthony Trueman death story in early BBC iPlayer release
Spoiler warning for Thursday 15th January 2026.

**Warning: Contains major spoilers for the Thursday 15th January 2026 episode of EastEnders, available now on BBC iPlayer.**
EastEnders has finally revealed who really killed Dr Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey) on Christmas Day 2025.
The BBC One soap has continued a mystery about how Anthony sustained a second and fatal blow to the head after he was struck by Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) after he began attacking her upstairs in the Vic on Christmas Day.
In the aftermath, an unconscious Zoe awoke to find Anthony dead and assumed she had been responsible for killing him, later handing herself in to the police.
After subsequent interviews, Zoe was charged with murder and held on remand, but speculation from Zoe's mother, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace), and recently unveiled biological daughter Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) saw them decide that the murderer was actually Zoe's old enemy (and Jasmine's mentor in stalking Zoe), Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman) who briefly retrurned to Walford on Christmas Day to torment Zoe.
In the aftermath, Kat headed off to Greece in a bid to track Chrissie down and ruin her supposed plans to frame Zoe for murder.
However, in Kat's absence, the drama has continued as Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) left Walford for a break after the family sided with Jasmine over her amid claims of Jasmine being "evil".

Then, on Wednesday, Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) was furious with how Jasmine handled babysitting young Charli. Lily's harsh words almost prompted violence from Jasmine, but she was held back by recently-discovered grandfather Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker), who is still grieving Anthony's death.
After being invited to the Trueman house to stay the night and being asked to accompany Patrick and his wife, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), to see Anthony lying in his coffin, Jasmine went off the rails and headed out on an all-night bender.
Returning in true Slater style on a milk float the next morning on Thursday, and having a tense encounters with both Yolande and boyfriend Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier), Jasmine got a dressing down in the park from Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams), who urged her to be less selfish and also revealed to her that Anthony wasn't as good a man as Jasmine may have been led to believe, highlighting his temper and family issues.
Heading to confront Patrick, he came clean about Anthony's marital dramas and also his obsession with Zoe. Furious that Anthony's dark side had been hidden from her, Jasmine left the house and headed to Kathy's Cafe.
Patrick soon went to find her and opened up about how she wanted to find peace by going to view his son at the undertakers, Coker's.
With food for thought, Jasmine later visited Anthony's body and joined Patrick, Yolande and their surrogate daughters Denise (Diane Parish) and Kim Fox (Tameka Empson).

As they all said their goodbyes to Anthony, they left Jasmine to say her own private goodbye, and this was when the big twist occurred: Jasmine killed Anthony.
Speaking to her father, Jasmine revealed she no longer had remorse now that she knew his true nature, producing a video of her confronting Anthony amid his confrontation with Zoe on Christmas Day and warning that she was filming before Anthony then lunged at her, attacking her.
As we overheard a struggle, we then heard Jasmine strike Anthony over the head with a hard object.
"You could have killed her, but I stopped you," Jasmine then said to her murdered father's corpse. "It's nice to finally meet you, Dad. Now rot in hell."
Well, it seems Jasmine's dark side is well and truly out - but will she let Zoe go down for her crime?
Next week, Jasmine tries to flee Walford with Oscar, but will she get away?
