Summary

New York Architect Wendy Fok travels to the remote Guizhou Valley in China to see the Beipanjiang First Bridge, the highest bridge on Earth, which boasts a 20,000 tonne steel deck. She soon discovers that trying to straddle a 565 metre gorge so deep that it's known as the `crack in the Earth", presented huge challenges for its engineers. Plus, Andrew Steele tracks down a bridge on the thames that nobody thought could ever be built, Suzie Sheehy is in Hampshire climbing the tallest unreinforced concrete town ever built and Luke Bisby scales the Forth Bridge in Edinburgh
