Summary
Crews fight to restart a man's heart after he had a cardiac arrest and crashed the van he was driving.
Review
We’re back with the paramedics of the West Midlands Ambulance Service, who have cameras strapped to their chests so we can get particularly close to the action. One team helps a man who appears to have had a cardiac arrest while driving. Another pair are sent to the home of a sweetly devoted couple, Mary and Sam, who are nearly 90. Here the ambulance crew must act as intermediaries between the NHS and social services, as Sam has no help to care for Mary, who has dementia and now can’t get up.
In between the cases, there’s some lovely chatter between the crews. I particularly liked the idea of having tea-making facilities on board the ambulance.
