Action thriller starring Keanu Reeves. Super-assassin John Wick is brought out of retirement once again when an old debt is called in by an Italian crime lord. Dispatched to Europe to carry out an assassination, Wick is himself targeted, resulting in a violent game of cat and mouse.
Keanu Reeves's vengeful assassin is brought back to the criminal underworld to repay an old debt in this gruesome and graceful sequel that is just as enjoyable as the original. The amazing fight sequences are again the jewel in the film's crown, but between so many flying bullets there are also some well-written verbal exchanges. Reeves is still fascinating to watch as the reticent antihero, dressed all in black and looking magnificently cool when dispatching the bad guys (even when using a pencil). Ian McShane is also on top form as Wick's mentor, while there's also a fun Matrix reunion between Reeves and Laurence Fishburne, who plays an underground crime boss.
