Great things were predicted for Swedish actress Viveca Lindfors when she first arrived in Hollywood in 1946. Though she married director Don Siegel, things didn't work out and she returned to Europe. In 78 films she never really found a role to showcase her talents and so she wrote one for herself. Based on her relationship with the playwright George Tabori (with whom she had a son, actor Kristoffer Tabori), the story concerns an actress deliberating whether to renew an affair with the Hungarian lover who hurt her so badly 15 years earlier.
