Everything you need to know about Coronation Street before Emmerdale crossover episode
A catch-up on the drama to save the confusion!

Let's face it, if you're a big Emmerdale fan and tuning into tomorrow's crossover episode with Coronation Street having not seen the show for the last year, you might be a little confused.
The worlds of Weatherfield and Hotten are about to combine in the aftermath of a multi-vehicle pile-up, in a special episode that kicks off a new broadcast pattern for the two ITV soaps.
The instalment is almost standalone, though to get the most enjoyment out of the drama it's probably best to understand both serial drama's storylines.
Luckily, we've got you covered with a guide to everything you need to know.
An eventful 2025 for the Webster clan

We were introduced to Kevin and Debbie Webster's (Michael Le Vell and Sue Devaney) scheming younger brother Carl (Jonathan Howard) in April. At the time, Kev was battling cancer, while Debbie had been diagnosed with young-onset dementia.
Carl soon hopped into bed with sister-in-law Abi (Sally Carman-Duttine), destroying her marriage. The two have set up home in Weatherfield Precinct, and in the last week, she's realised that he's cheating on her with James Bailey (Jason Callender).

Meanwhile, Kevin has discovered that Carl is responsible for the hit and run that left Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) unable to work. He's also stolen thousands of pounds from Debbie's hotel empire.
On Debbie's wedding day to Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) - which is where we'll find the characters tomorrow - Carl's misdemeanours are starting to unravel.
Todd Grimshaw's abusive relationship

Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) thought he'd struck gold when he met scaffolder Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) last year.
While Theo's wife and children proved to be somewhat of a stumbling block in the early months of their relationship, the two seemed determined to make things work.
However, slowly but surely, Theo began to blame Todd for the dissolution of his marriage, and displayed worrying behaviour patterns whenever he spoke to other men.

His jealousy has intensified to the point he is verbally and physically abusing Todd.
There have been some suspicions - the police were called to their flat some weeks ago when a fight escalated, with Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) wondering whether something more sinister was at play.

In last week's episodes, Todd's ex Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) noticed a series of bruises on his body, and questioned whether Theo was responsible.
Becky Swain's return from the dead

Carla Connor (Alison King) was finally on the path to happiness with new partner Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), but that wasn't to last. Lisa's jealous and vengeful 'dead' wife Becky (Amy Cudden) arrived back in Manchester after years of living in Spain under a witness protection scheme.
She's on a mission to win Lisa back, and will seemingly stop at nothing to achieve her goal.
Her most recent plot saw her kidnap Carla and hold her hostage in an airing cupboard in a derelict flat. Lisa is under the illusion that her love has gone on holiday to escape the madness, though Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has clocked something suspicious.

When Lisa handed Carla's engagement ring to Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) - before moving to Spain with Becky and their daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) - Kit realised that the very same piece of jewellery seemed to be on Carla's hand in one of her recent poolside snaps.
He's also realised that the hotel and suite that Carla is supposedly staying in give a 'What Three Words' clue to her whereabouts.
Will Kit manage to track Carla down and stop Becky before she escapes the country?
