Strictly Come Dancing stars lead tributes to Bruce Forsyth

Claudia Winkleman called the 89-year-old entertainer "The King of TV"

Today brought the sad news that Sir Bruce Forsyth has passed away, and the legendary entertainer and (in recent years) Strictly Come Dancing host leaves behind an incredible legacy at the heart of British television.

And already many members of Brucie’s Strictly family have shared their grief at his passing, with hosts, contestants, winners, dancers and judges paying tribute to the late star on social media.

Forsyth began hosting the smash-hit BBC1 dancing competition in 2004, continuing until 2014 when he stepped down from the regular live show.

He continued presenting special editions of the series until 2015.
