Jamie Bell and Mark Strong are each fighting to free hostages – using very different methods – in the first trailer for Netflix thriller 6 Days.
The pair star in the new Netflix film alongside actress Abbie Cornish, telling the real-life story of the six-day Iranian Embassy siege which took place from 30th April to 5th May 1980 in London.
Gunmen stormed the building in South Kensington, taking 26 people hostage. While negotiators worked to free those trapped, at the same time the SAS were preparing an ambitious raid on the building.
On the sixth day the troops stormed the building, killing five gunmen and arresting one more – all while news cameras outside broadcast the operation live to millions.
The new film tells the story from three perspectives: negotiator Max Vernon (Mark Strong) who is trying to avoid military action, SAS leader Rusty Firmin (Jamie Bell) and BBC news reporter Kate Adie (Abbie Cornish).
The film is set to launch on Friday 3rd November. Watch the trailer below.
