The Boys season 5 release schedule: When is episode 3 out on Prime Video?
The final season is officially under way.

The Boys has returned for its fifth and final season on Prime Video, with the first two episodes giving us our first glimpse of Homelander's new world – and already delivering us some almighty twists and turns.
Already, we've seen the loss of a pretty major character and have been introduced to some intriguing new characters - but there's plenty more to come.
The final eight episodes will draw the core story of Homelander, Butcher and The Boys and The Seven to a close, even though the wider universe will continue to live on through new spin-offs Vought Rising and The Boys: Mexico, and a potential, though unconfirmed, third season of Gen V.
In the lead up to season 5, the show's creator Eric Kripke warned fans that there are not "full battle scenes because we still don’t have Game of Thrones' budget", but he teased that there are "a lot of very direct confrontations".
"I hope it’s cathartic and emotionally satisfying, but I’m a tiny bit terrified," he said.
So, now that the first two episodes are available to watch, when will new instalments come onto the platform?
Read on for everything you need to know about the release schedule for The Boys season 5.

What is The Boys season 5 about?
The synopsis for the show's new season says: "In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a 'Freedom Camp.' Annie struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found.
"But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it. It’s the climax, people. Big stuff’s gonna happen."
