Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been caught in a scheduling shake-up once again, with episodes due to air this weekend.

Both series typically air 30-minute instalments on weeknights, with Emmerdale usually airing at 8pm and Corrie following at 8:30pm.

But fans can look forward to episodes of both soaps on Sunday (19 April) this weekend, with an instalment of Emmerdale set to air at 7pm, followed by Corrie at 7:30pm.

This is because there were no episodes of Corrie or Emmerdale shown on Tuesday (14 April), with ITV1 airing coverage of The Women’s European Qualifier instead.

There are more scheduling shake-ups on the horizon too, with neither show set to air in their usual slots on ITV1 next Friday (24 April).

This is to make way for the I'm a Celebrity South Africa final, which will begin at 7.30pm on ITV1 and go on until 9pm.

Next week on Corrie, Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) finally tie the knot, but it doesn’t look like things are going to be smooth-sailing as the venue gets flooded.

Meanwhile, on Emmerdale next week, Charity gives birth, but things don’t exactly go to plan.

But, that's not all, newly-released Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) adjusts to her new life, while Jacob Sugden (Jacob Gallagher) reports Dr Todd (Caroline Harker) to HR.
