Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 2 first-look trailer finally unveiled as young couples to be torn apart
We don't have long to wait until the second season of the spin-off.

With only a handful of episodes left of the final eighth season of Outlander, fans will be pleased to learn that they don't have to wait too long for their next fix of the historical, time travelling drama and its universe.
As well as revealing that Outlander: Blood of My Blood will be returning for its second season this autumn, Starz has also now released a teaser trailer for the new episodes – and it promises to be action-packed.
In the short teaser, we have shots of both lead couples Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine).
We also even get a glimpse at a young Claire, who is seen happily skipping around as her parents smile after her.

However, drama is never far away, as we then see Julia and Henry look scared while standing in the middle of a forest, followed by an epic fight sequence that sees Brian, Dougal (Sam Retford) and Murtagh (Rory Alexander) leading the charge.
You can watch the teaser for yourself below courtesy of MGM+, which streams the show in the UK.

As well as the teaser, there are a couple of new first-look pictures of the second season, which show both couples in very different situations. While we have Julia and Henry looking afraid as they approach the stones, the other image shows Brian and Ellen enjoying an embrace – but could it be their last for a while?
At the end of the first season, the Jacobite Rising was just about to start so it seems highly likely that this could put the pair's own relationship back a step or two.
Previously speaking about that in an exclusive chat with Radio Times, Roy said of where that may leave Brian in season 2: "The fiery crosses are lit, and it's given them [Ellen and Brian] an ultimatum, a crossroads.
"They think they're safe but does Brian go and do the right thing, which is report back to his Laird for war and get ready for that, or does he choose to stay with Ellen and they run away and become fugitives and leave Scotland forever?
"Ellen must be thinking, 'What have I got myself into? I've just left the castle, I had a lovely bed, it was warm, and now I'm in a hole in the ground, and you're leaving me, potentially.'"

The synopsis for the second season reads: "By the end of the season, both couples were on the precipice of a big change. After fighting to find their way back to one another, Henry and Julia were at the standing stones of Craig Na Dun, hoping to return to their own time, and Brian and Ellen’s romantic escape was interrupted as the 1715 Jacobite Rising began, thrusting the clans into war.
"As season two unfolds, the two young couples will be tested and separated by forces beyond their control, as every clan chooses a side in the rebellion."
