Our Score
In this entertaining crime caper, Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine bring their natural frivolity and nimble comic timing to the roles of a cockney cat burglar and his Eurasian showgirl-turned-accomplice. The object of their scam is a tycoon's priceless statue that the MacLaine character uncannily resembles. The lead actors certainly have chemistry, while director Ronald Neame skilfully keeps the twists and turns coming, accompanied by a typically lush score from prolific composer Maurice Jarre. Herbert Lom is also good fun as the hapless target of the couple's machinations.

A cockney thief conspires to steal a multimillionaire's priceless statue, with the aid of a nightclub entertainer who is the exact double of the rich man's dead wife. However, a series of blunders threatens to ruin their hopes of making a quick profit. Crime comedy, starring Michael Caine, Shirley MacLaine, Herbert Lom and Roger C Carmel.
