Escape Room

Six strangers are forced to work as a team in order to survive in this taut horror thriller packed with nerve-tingling incident. After they are mysteriously brought together for what they'd assumed was a run-of-the-mill role-playing adventure, the individuals find their lives in jeopardy from a series of fiendishly designed rooms that hint at harrowing events in their pasts. It's hardly the most original premise, but Adam Robitel directs at a breakneck pace, leaving viewers little time to pause for breath. The performances, from the likes of TV stalwarts Logan Miller (The Walking Dead) and Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood, Daredevil), are strong if not sensational. Instead, it's the elaborate rooms themselves that will wow audiences - not least an upside-down saloon bar with a collapsing floor/ceiling.
