Our Score
This upbeat musical extravaganza from DreamWorks is bright, breezy and shamelessly pushes the positive power of happiness. Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick voice bickering trolls who, armed only with their magical hair and a few songs, must face off against the giants who've kidnapped their kinfolk. The trolls aren't the dim, bridge-lurking beasties that the Billy Goats Gruff outwitted. Instead inspired by the long-haired Scandi dolls that once adorned every pencil-end, these trolls are carefree, cute and colourful little critters - and so wholesome, they poop cupcakes. But their life isn't all sweetness and light. Their miserable neighbours, the giant Bergens, have developed a taste for troll flesh. Threaded with a Cinderella subplot and featuring a poppy mix of musical covers and original songs, Trolls is quality confection for little ones.
