Actors and celebrities have been paying tribute to the late actor Bob Hoskins who has passed away aged 71. The star of Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Pennies From Heaven was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease eighteen months ago, but was suffering from pneumonia before his death, his agent has confirmed.
Mark Gatiss, Stephen Fry, Nick Frost and Vicky McClure are among those who have taken to Twitter to share experiences and favourite moments from a 40-year career that saw him receive a Bafta and Golden Globe as well as an Oscar nomination.
So sad to hear we've lost the great Bob Hoskins. A true gent & an inspiration. Happy memories of 'the Willows' in '06 pic.twitter.com/99Xv57h7Oc
