Knowing where fact ends and fiction begins is a big issue as this dark 1960s Los Angeles drama ends. Young Fauna Hodel has learnt what might be a horrific fact about her origins, but will she get closure if she confronts her grandfather George Hodel? Brought to his house (scenes here are filmed in the same distinctive building that the real George lived in), she’s now in his rather terrifying clutches.
Journalist Jay, meanwhile, is frantically trying to persuade the LAPD to take his theories about George as the Black Dahlia killer seriously. As the smoke rises over the city during the Watts riots, he takes a fateful journey…
