The next season of the hit Netflix reality series Selling Sunset is on the way and now we have a release date to mark on our calendars.

Not only that, but The Oppenheim Group's Mary Fitzgerald revealed recently that filming was about to begin on season five – so we have a lot more Selling Sunset goodness coming to our screens.

"Oh, you guys are in for a treat," she told OK!. "It’s been pretty crazy and a lot has changed for people. There are bigger clients, bigger real estate and changes within the cast. It’s going to be epic. I would say season four is going to kill all of the other seasons!"

That's not the only exciting news to come from a Selling Sunset cast member lately – Chrishell Stause confirmed on her Instagram that she was in a relationship with her boss Jason Oppenheim.

"So happy for you guys! Finally, people will stop with Jason and Mary hopefully," Romain Bonnet joked in a comment on a photo of the couple and their Selling Sunset co-stars in Italy, while Jason's twin Brett added: "Love you Chrishell. Thank you for making my brother happy."

Christine weighed in on the news, saying: "Well I think maybe Mary doesn't get as many listings. No, I'm just joking! I really don't know. I think Mary and Chrishell have a very close relationship, and Mary is happy for her. Everyone is really good friends, believe it or not."

We have some new faces being added to the Selling Sunset cast for season four, including Vanessa Villela and Emma Hernan, while we're yet to find out whether Davina Portratz will be appearing considering she recently moved to a rival firm in LA.

Read on for everything we know so far about Selling Sunset season four.

Selling Sunset season 4 release date

The fourth season will drop on Netflix on 24th November, 2021.

Mary Fitzgerald revealed the news of the return date on Instagram, writing: "SAVE THE DATE! Wednesday, November 24, catch us back on the big screen for the newest season of SELLING SUNSET! We can’t wait for you guys to see it!"

Mary recently told OK! that the cast were just weeks away from filming season five – so hopefully we won't have to wait too long for even more drama!

Season one of Selling Sunset launched in March 2019, introducing audiences to the super glamorous world of real estate – and the million-dollar houses – in the Hollywood Hills.

The second season dropped a little over a year later in May 2020, with the third coming not very long after that in August.

According to Jason Oppenheim, the COVID-19 pandemic which has brought the TV and film industry to their knees won't be a problem for the cast of Selling Sunset.

He told Metro: "I don't anticipate the coronavirus having too much of an effect. I don't foresee any restrictions on filming because I think that we're all together anyway, most of us. We're interacting already, so I don't think we're at much risk simply having cameras around."

Selling Sunset season 4 cast

There are two new members of the Selling Sunset cast for the fourth season: Vanessa Villela and Emma Hernan.

The pair have joined The Oppenheim Group and will be selling some serious properties and most likely getting involved in all the drama.

Judging by Mary's recent photo, it looks like all the usual crew, including a very pregnant Christine Quinn, are back for the fourth season. And while speaking to OK, Christine revealed that we will be seeing a new side to her this time around. "I was definitely vulnerable which is not really a side you've seen before."

Davina left the company last year to work for Douglas Elliman, however, Mary previously hinted that she could make an appearance in the new season.

She said: "My understanding is, whenever we do it, everyone is coming back. I don’t know how Davina plays into that because she did leave the group, so I’m not really sure how that’s going to work out. I haven’t spoken to her."

Maya Vander previously hinted the current series could be her last, telling Metro: “With two children right now, it’s going to be difficult for me to relocate my life again to LA. We have a house right now in Miami, my husband is here and we’ve been doing the whole back and forth. I was a bit more flexible and so was he, but his job is very serious and we have another baby. We will see…”

Similarly, Christine Quinn also suggested she could be saying goodbye to the Netflix series.

She said; “All I’m going to say is, it’s hard working for a man,” she said. “It is. I’m not going to lie. So there’s times where we’ve definitely thought about doing other things… Right now I do like being a part of [the] family, I really, really do.

“I like having that dynamic but it needs to have a little bit of healing, and mend itself first. If I ever saw myself leaving, it would be to work with only women.”

Selling Sunset season 4 new agents

Mary had previously teased new additions to The Oppenheim Group in Selling Sunset season four.

She said: "We do have a couple of new agents. There’s a chance… we keep trying to tell production and Netflix that we want a couple of the other girls on the show because they’re really good friends of ours. They work for The Oppenheim Group and they’re very successful, so I think it would be good to have some new faces. But I don’t know what they’re going to choose.”

In a recent interview with RadioTimes.com, Mary shared an update on filming plans, while Maya Vander revealed what storylines could feature in Selling Sunset season four.

She even hinted at a possible spin-off involving her in Miami.

“I just need nicer, sexy listings and a couple of crazy girls and we’re all set. “I think there is a lot of real estate, great properties here to film," she said.

There's plenty for the cameras still to follow, with Heather Rae Young now engaged to her partner Tarek El Moussa.

Given that both Mary and Christine Quinn's weddings featured on the show, it'd be great to be front row at this one as well!

And of course, the drama between fan-favourites, Chrishell and Christine, will never get old. This alone could keep us tuning into the show for a few more seasons. Plus, there's bound to be more fall-out from Chrishell's divorce from Justin Hartley.

Christine is now pregnant, and after she filmed her wedding – which reportedly cost over $1 million – we wonder if she'll be planning any more spectacular events... perhaps for the baby shower?

Last season, we saw Maya pitching a possible office opening in Miami, so this could make for an interesting future storyline if she were to stay on the show.

Maya recently hinted at what to expect from the new season, saying: "That’s the beauty with Selling Sunset, nothing is predictable with the show. So, you know, between us girls, who knows? Maybe they’re going to have new cast members that they don’t tell us about, that could be it too. It would be interesting. I’m excited.”
So are we, girl!

In July 2021, Mary Fitzgerald provided an update on what fans can expect from season four, which was just finishing up filming, telling OK!: "Oh, you guys are in for a treat. It's been pretty crazy and a lot has changed for people. There are bigger clients, bigger real estate and changes within the cast. It’s going to be epic. I would say season four is going to kill all of the other seasons!"

She added that her relationship with Christine Quinn was "not great", adding: "I think I can probably be professional in the office but you’ll see on season four that too much has happened and it started affecting my mental health – the ups and downs and lies. I felt like there was a tornado in my head for about a year.

"Between season three and four, I would see things and hear things, and when I’d talk to her it would be one thing and then it would completely switch. I felt like I was dealing with Jekyll and Hyde. I decided to lay everything out and tell her exactly how I felt. We can be cordial but that’s it. I can’t do this any more with her."

As for romance at the Oppenheim Group, People reported in July that Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim are now in a relationship.

"Chrishell and I became close friends and it has developed into an amazing relationship," Oppenheim said. "I care about her deeply and we are very happy together."
Chrishell confirmed the news with an Instagram pic of the new couple on holiday in Italy with their Selling Sunset co-stars Mary Fitzgerald, Romain Bonnet and Brett Oppenheim.
