Reprisal

Bank manager Frank Grillo takes the law into his own hands in this workmanlike thriller, when his branch is robbed, and police suspect there may be an inside accomplice. Assisted by his retired cop neighbour Bruce Willis, Grillo analyses every aspect of the heist in a bid to predict where the robber might strike next, but when he gets too close to the perp and the loot it endangers the lives of his wife and daughter. Director Brian A Miller's action sequences are too pedestrian to crank up any real tension, while the dramatic scenes are annoyingly stilted, leaving a glut of plot holes and unanswered questions. Grillo fails to convince as either vigilante or family man, and Willis barely has anything to do at all.
