Fans of The X-Files who are missing their favourite case-solving duo, Mulder and Scully, will be pleased to hear the pair are reuniting (well, sort of...)
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson - who led the cast of the sci-fi horror drama as FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Skully - will both be on a special panel at this year's Comic-Con event in San Diego to commemorate the show's 20th anniversary.
Anderson confirmed the news on her official website which stated, "Gillian plans to attend this year's San Diego Comic-Con on July 18-20 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)... She will attend the XF 20th Anniversary Panel on Thursday and a XF Comic Book Panel."
David Duchovny has also verified his attendance, with the Hollywood Reporter listing his inclusion on the 20th anniversary panel which will also feature writers from the series including creator Chris Carter, David Amann, Breaking Bad's Vince Gilligan, Homeland's Howard Gordon, Darin Morgan, Glen Morgan, John Shiban and Jim Wong.
Fans of The X-Files - which ran for nine seasons from 1993-2002, spawning spin-off show, The Lone Gunmen, and two feature films - are expected to camp out overnight at the annual convention to catch a rare glimpse of the former co-stars as they join the special Q&A panel.
